Overview

An exciting Key Account Manager opportunity has arisen in Visioncare at Bausch + Lomb, a strong market player in eye care.   Reporting to the Business Unit Head for Visioncare you will be responsible for Key Pharmacy, Grocer and Internet accounts. Some of these accounts have international interests and you will therefore need to liaise with your European counter parts in order to support these customers with a cohesive approach across the region.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for high value Pharmacy, Grocer and Internet accounts with the aim to achieve joint business growth and profitability. Some of these accounts have a European reach and therefore team work with European counter parts is crucial. 
  • You will be a member of the UK VC Management team and as such will contribute to the development of the VC Strategy and Objectives working closely with the Business Unit Head and Marketing Team.
  • You will be responsible for identifying key decisions and identifying opportunities for business growth through building effective partnerships with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • You will be working with target accounts on a Business, Clinical and technical level as required to build highly differentiated win/win customer value propositions designed for long-term growth and partnership.
  • You will build and implement a key account plan by account to achieve desired growth and profitability of VC products and services.
  • You will develop business partnerships with your customer based on long-term business development.
  • You regularly review delivery of the business plan taking corrective interventions to achieve targets, and escalating risks to delivery as necessary.
  • You work in conjunction with External Business Partners to deliver joint venture proposals to chosen accounts
  • You gather and Interpret complex data and information in order to identify key accounts, key decision makers and opportunities for business growth
  • You analyse data to monitor progress and produce and share regular management reports
  • Collect, analyze and interpret market intelligence on competitor and customer behavior to inform the key account plan, feeding this back to the UK/I Management team to support trend analysis and strategy development.
  • You manage an allocated investment budget in order to achieve commercial objectives. You ensuring you measure and deliver a strong return on investment.
  • You manage customer engagement through a range of channels including face to face and remote contact to support achievement of the key account plan.
  • You utilize the available range of digital tools for communication, content creation and information processing in order to work effectively and efficiently. Maintain digital skills to meet business need.
  • You identify and build business partnerships with key stakeholders, Influencers and networks within the industry.
  • You leverage expertise and advocacy to drive adoption of our services and products.
  • You feedback insights to the relevant internal audience as business intelligence

 

Qualifications

  • You create customer centric value propositions linked to core consultative services offerings that will deliver against a win/win business result for B+L and the customer.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills in your career to date
  • You are able to demonstrate a high level of competency with complex business planning
  • You have experience of negotiating at all levels in order to secure national deals or your portfolio of products
  • You drive agreement and negotiate contracts with key customers working with internal colleagues and managing the processes to produce contracts to secure business.
  • You resolve key account queries in a decisive and timely manner as escalated by the internal stakeholders.
  • You will have experience of negotiating with large national accounts in pharmacy and or Grocer
  • You will have experience of category management for consumer facing products.
  • You have previous experience of working in the healthcare space.
